Coach
I walked into Crossfit Mason for the first time near the end of October 2014. I was pretty much hooked after that day. I started coaching in the summer of 2015 and received my L1 in June of 2015, then my L2 in June of 2020. I've always played sports and stayed active, but didn't start my fitness journey until college. I started running and lifting, but knew after the first workout, that Crossfit was the best off all fitness worlds. I'm in the best shape physically and mentally I've ever been, even after two kids. Over the past nine years my love for Crossfit, the community, and coaching athletes have grown. I've worked in Research for seven years now, but have worked in a variety of Exercise Physiology jobs through out college and afterwards. I have a unique skill set which I bring to teaching our Foundations classes, coaching the best athletes, and keeping them healthy! I have also discovered a new passion since starting CrossFit...programming!
I am very passionate about what CrossFit can do and will do for someone from the second they walk in our doors, both inside and outside our gym. It happened to me and I've seen it happen time and time again over the last nine years. Probably my favorite thing is getting to witness that moment when an athlete hits a lift perfectly for the first time, something clicks on a gymnastic movement, or they crush a previous PR. Truly pushes me to be a better coach every single time.
